201.1 USE OF RADIO FREQUENCIES
EMT Responsibility: To broadcast their status at the start and end of watch, as well as in relation to any calls for service.
EMT Supervisor Responsibility: To ensure Radio Traffic Only is in effect at all times unless otherwise stated.
All on-duty EMTs shall monitor the appropriate frequency while conducting their duties.

903.2 Radio Frequencies Usage
FIRE BASE
All uniformed personnel conducting basic operations shall monitor the FIRE BASE frequency.
FIRE SIMPLEX
A radio-to-radio channel that can be used for less formal communication when on scene.
FIRE TALK-AROUND CHANNELS
The use of TACs shall be limited to personnel conducting specialized missions, coordinating emergency response, or discussing other fire-related matters when inappropriate to do so in the FIRE BASE.
FIRE TRAINING
Personnel shall utilize FIRE TRAINING during any form of training.
FIRE INVESTIGATIONS
Personnel assigned to investigative units may utilize FIRE INVESTIGATIONS during deployments.
201.2 RADIO UNIT DESIGNATIONS
All personnel have a responsibility to ensure they recognize and utilize the correct radio callsign as outlined in the format detailed below:
Private EMS Carriers
Shall be formatted as "MEDIC-YXX"
Supervisors
Shall be formatted as "CAR-YXX"
Note: Y indicates the faction identifier, and XX is any two digit identifier not currently in service by another unit.
Inter-Facility Transport (IFT)
The non-emergency transport of patients. This may be utilized relocating the patient from a clinic to a hospital for surgery, or transporting the patient from their home to the medical center.
Shall be formatted as "IFT-XX" e.g. "IFT-16"

Out of Service - You are ending your shift
Come In - You are being called.
Come Up - A unit is requesting another unit to come up on the radio.
Follow Up - Follow up investigation at a scene.
Go Ahead - Proceed with your message.
No Further - No further information available.
Roaming - You are driving outside of station boundaries
Per - By the order of.
Repeat - Repeat your message
Roger - Used as an acknowledgement.
Standby - The frequency is put on hold so no one shall broadcast unless it is an emergency.
Size Up - Evaluating the condition of the structure fire and evacuating person(s)
