BASEBALL CAP. A baseball cap with a curved bill and remaining facing forward over the brow neat in appearance may be worn. It shall be blue in color and read 'LOS SANTOS FIRE DEPARTMENT'. 

• Shall not be worn with bunker gear, turnouts, or brush equipment.

SUNGLASSES. Any set of sunglasses may be worn that are not exuberantly bright or attention-grabbing. Glasses must be in a professional appearance.

WATCH. A watch may be worn, but must be taken off if conflictive with uniform requirements or presents a danger to the member's well-being or to those around them.

GLOVES. Non-Combustible or Flame-Retardant gloves are acceptable but must be changed for disposable surgical gloves when operating on a patient. Failure to abide may result the gloves being destroyed.

Shall be worn at public events, special occasions, or by Departmental Command Staff. 

SHIRT. Black Long sleeve shirt, worn with a tie. Plated nameplates and badge 

PANTS. Blue Suit Pants

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

May be worn by members on call, in incidents that do not require PPE; or deemed otherwise by command staff.

Ensure that articles are not clipping, using the incorrect model or texture- and that are not visibly floating.

AIRPORT BADGE. Must be worn by members working at Station 51 (LSIA), and be visible at all times.

SHIRT. Long sleeve or short sleeve shirt, with an open collar - with navy undershirt visible.

Note: Members assigned to the EMS Bureau as a Paramedic shall wear the LSFD Insignia with the Paramedic Tab visible under the left arm's patch. Fire Department Service Badges MUST be visible, with an embroidered nametape.

DEPARTMENT T-SHIRT. May be worn on-call at station, must be covered by Class B/C or a Brush / Bunker Jacket.

    Note: Members assigned to the EMS Bureau as a Paramedic shall wear the LSFD Insignia with the Paramedic Tab visible under the left arm's patch. Fire Department Service Badges MUST be visible, with an embroidered nametape.

PANTS. Blue Suit Pants, Navy Blue Cargo or Plain Shorts.

Note: Shorts are only for On-Call at the station, NOT for field incidents. Shorts must not exceed below the knee.

FOOTWEAR. Black boots.

BELT. No over-belts, such as nylon or black-leather belts.

RADIO. Members shall retain a department issued handheld radio on their person.

BALLISTIC VEST; Shall be worn on shootings or stabbings. Members may also wear a Ballistic Vest under a Bunker Jacket or otherwise.

BALLISTIC HELMET; Shall be worn in active shooter situations, or where a threat of perceived violence is still ongoing. It shall be BLACK in appearance, and display 'MEDIC' or 'LSFD'.

BUNKER PANTS. May be worn by members at any time, but is mandatory on structure fires.

REFLECTIVE RAIN JACKET. May be worn by members working in inclement weather; or directing/working in traffic.

FIREMAN'S HELMET. May be worn at any time, but must be worn on Technical Rescues & Fire Incidents.

• As of January 1st, 2024, except Arson Investigators, all department personnel have been issued a traditional style helmet that shall be worn.

BRUSH TURNOUT JACKET. May be worn by members on Technical Rescues, but NOT on Fire Suppression related-incidents.

BUNKER TURNOUT JACKET. May be worn by members on Technical Rescues, but MUST be worn on Fire Suppression related-incidents.

HI-VIS VEST. May be worn by members, and shall not be in any color other than green-yellow

PPE is required on rescue scenes to protect the wearer from harm. It is made up of Uniform pants, bunker pants, close toed shoes and fire boots, medical gloves, work gloves and helmet.

Upper Torso. Standard Yellow Bunker Jacket with reflective striping and LSFD writing affixed to rear

• Note: If department members are dealing with USAR or hazmat related calls they should refer to the respective sections below.

PANTS. Standard yellow bunker pants with reflective striping and suitable kneepads

Note: If department members are dealing with a MVA they may opt to wear dress pants providing they are not actively dealing with specialist equipment e.g. Medics, Command

FOOTWEAR. Black in color boots.

FIREMAN'S HELMET. Department-issued Fireman Helmet; helmet is issued depending on rank or position within the department.

Additional Equipment. Fire Resistant Gloves

This section covers the quintessential for the use of Fire Protective Equipment. Different from Standardized PPE- FPPE is designed first and formost as a deterrent to injury of limb or loss of life.

TURNOUT JACKET. Standard Yellow Bunker Jacket with reflective striping and LSFD writing affixed to rear.

• Members may choose to either use the worn or the 'clean' version of the pants and jacket.

Members MUST use the version of their choice with their bunker pants for the sake of continuity.

PANTS. Standard yellow bunker pants with reflective striping and suitable kneepads

• Members may choose to either use the worn or the 'clean' version of the pants and jacket.

FOOTWEAR. Worn fire-resistant boots.

FIREHOOD. Must be in either Charcoal Grey, or White.

• The hood is to be worn, when the collar is snapped together to guarantee a correct protective reflection from fire or contaminants. 

FIREMAN'S HELMET. Department-issued Fireman Helmet; helmet is issued depending on rank or position within the department.

ACCESSORIES. Fire Resistant Gloves, EyeShield Protective Goggles

SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS. Silver in color; PharteAir LAC Pro-Self Contained Oxygen Tank.

• Oxygen is rated to last anywhere of one or two hours. Realistically, with the movement of motion and exertion- This can easily change from aforementioned, to more of roughly thirty minutes or less.

Note: If department members are dealing with non-structure fires such as wildfires they may opt to wear the brush fire PPE consisting of brush coat, brush pants and brush helmet, this is not rated for structure fires however, and must be replaced with standardized equipment shown above.

Urban Search & Rescue

SHIRT. Department Issued T-Shirt branded with 'FIRE DEPARTMENT' or 'LOS SANTOS FIRE DEPARTMENT'

PANTS. Worn or New Bunker Pants, harness straps are not to be worn.

VEST. A blue rescue harness with several pouches and equipment stored. It shall be black / blue with the Paramedicine Star visible.

HARNESS. A standardized waist-groin harness, connected to the aforementioned vest. It shall be black in color.

SHOES. Worn Black Boots

HELMET. An Orange Fast-Ops helmet, donning the Paramedicine Star & Los Santos City Fire Department Patch or dissimilar.

EYE PROTECTION. Members may choose between safety glasses, or standard fireman goggles.

JUMPSUIT. Tan Colored Jumpsuit with green and silver reflectors; two shoulder patches reading 'LOS SANTOS FIRE DEPARTMENT'. May be used in replacement of the aforementioned above.

PANTS. Must be tan to match the jumpsuit above.

HARNESS. A standardized waist-groin harness, connected to the aforementioned vest. It shall be black in color.

HELMET. An Orange Fast-Ops helmet, donning the Paramedicine Star & Los Santos City Fire Department Patch or dissimilar.

MASK. In extreme USAR disasters, the risk of airborne carcinogens present may be prevented by wearing a surgical face covering along with eye protection. It shall be in white or black.

PPE is required on HazMat operations to protect the wearer from harm. It is made up of coveralls, close toed shoes or boots, work gloves, SCBA and helmet.

Bodysuit. Standard White LSFD Bodysuit.

FOOTWEAR. Black in colour boots, must be NFPA certified

HELMET. Standard Issue LSFD Helmet

Additional Equipment. Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus

Note: if dealing with a HazMat scene that may not require extra PPE, department members may opt to wear standard PPE
