Preamble;
Fire Command Staff; at any time- May inform a member that they're using improper or illegitimate / Out-Of-Policy uniform or appearances on the basis of their reasonability to determine a violation has occurred. A member, will with respectful intuition; shall respect and affirm the given order under any circumstance; and is expected to follow said order to the best of their ability when ordered to comply. Members believing that policy is not being upheld should bring it to the next highest superior thereon. This also applies to facial appearances and other physical demands or traits.
Note:
Authorization to activate as SanFire Fire Suppression must be approved on an event basis by Command Team members
Formal Wear
Consists of class As and peaked cap. Worn only at public events, special occasions, or command team members.
Members assigned to Fire Suppression duties shall wear the following:
SHIRT. Long sleeve shirt, worn with a tie. Plated nameplates and badge
PANTS. Suit pants, Navy blue in color.
FOOTWEAR. Black in color boots.
Members assigned to Fire Prevention duties shall wear the following:
SHIRT. Long sleeve shirt, worn with a tie. Plated nameplates and with a seven-pointed star reading 'PEACE OFFICER - LAW ENFORCEMENT'
NOTE: Silver is for any rank below Battalion Chief. Gold is for Battalion Chief+ - Battalion Chief + shall wear a white long sleeve shirt.
PANTS. Suit pants, Navy blue in color.
FOOTWEAR. Black in color boots.
BELT. Black Leather Belt, with silver buckle with a tonfa-style baton.
HAT. Flat Brimmed Cap, or 'Campaign Hat' with no marked insignia or decals.
Station Wear
Consists of class Bs or class Cs. Worn during normal fire prevention duties.
Members assigned to Fire Suppression duties shall wear the following:
SHIRT. Long sleeve or short sleeve shirt, with an open collar - with navy undershirt visible.
PANTS. Navy Blue Cargo Pants, Navy Blue dress pants.
FOOTWEAR. Black in color boots.
Members assigned to Fire Prevention duties shall wear the following:
BASEBALL CAP. Officers may choose to wear a baseball cap while on patrol; It shall display a SANFIRE facsimile badge reading 'SANFIRE POLICE'
SHIRT. Long or short sleeve shirt. Plated nameplates and badge. A tucked-in SanFire T-Shirt may be worn underneath the vest shown below.
PANTS. Navy Blue BDU style pants, unbloused.
EXTERNAL CARRIER VEST. Officers may choose to wear external stab vests, External stab vests shall be black in color, and must display "SANFIRE POLICE" and/or a facsimile or real SANFIRE Prevention badge.
FOOTWEAR. Black in colour boots.
BELT. Black Leather Belt, with a silver buckle and tonfa-style baton.
Note: Officers may optionally wear a Nylon belt in lieu of their issued Black Leather belt.
HOLSTER. Unless specified, all officers shall wear their black holster on their belt.
TASER. Conducted Energy Weapons (CEW or TASER devices) are not authorized to be carried by Officers.
FIREMAN'S HELMET. May be worn at any time, but must be worn on active fire scenes, with the member's corresponding rank titled to that Firefighter.
Firefighting Personal Protective Equipment
This section covers the quintessential for the use of Fire Protective Equipment. Different from Standardized PPE- FPPE is designed first and foremost as a deterrent to injury of limb or loss of life.
TURNOUT JACKET. Bunker Jacket with reflective striping, it shall say 'SANFIRE' and 'MCFD'.
PANTS. Standard Bunker Pants.
FOOTWEAR. Worn fire-resistant boots.
FIREHOOD. Must be in either Charcoal Grey, White or Black.
The hood is to be worn, when a wildfire is present and extensive heat is proving difficult to mitigate.
'WILDLAND FIREMAN' HELMET. With the brush jacket, members shall wear a Construction-like helmet, with a dome open-face build.
FIREMAN'S HELMET. May be worn at any time, but must be worn on active fire scenes, with the member's corresponding rank titled to that Firefighter.
ACCESSORIES. Fire Resistant Gloves, EyeShield Protective Goggles
SELF CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS. Wildland Firefighters do not typically use SCBA, but it is available. Silver in color; PharteAir LAC Pro-Self Contained Oxygen Tank.
BRUSH TURNOUT JACKET. May be worn on fire watch assignments or on active wildfire-fighting duties
PANTS. Bright Yellow BDU-style pants, with reflective striping.
FIREHOOD. Must be in either Charcoal Grey, or White.
