Los Santos Fire Department - Public Information Release

 [03/02/2023]

The Los Santos Fire Department, with the local collaboration of the Cardiac-Thoratics Wing of Pillbox Medical has announced a new standard of care starting March 9th, 2023- For the new innovative practice of providing even more advanced life-saving procedures from Emergency Room Trained Nurses and senior-licensed practitioners. The Los Santos Fire Department will only have one Rescue Ambulance equipped with the measurements of tools. In the future, this Rescue Ambulance will be stationed with our Central Bureau- Station 32 with a full-time Nurse Practitioner on-call. However, for the time being. This will be on a required basis only. As this is an experiment to determine THE effectiveness of treatment- And to balance the quality versus cost for the department and the city itself.

The effective reasoning of this new program is also the importance of prolonging a patient's life expectancy in a situation where they cannot be easily removed- and have grave injuries that cannot be sustained by first-line responders. A Nurse Practitioner has more on-hand knowledge of trauma-related medical equipment that is used in life-altering procedures in a medical facility, and in the ranged scope of practices- can be employed in the field. These ambulances can also be utilized in the deliverance of vaccines to impoverished communities and the need of medical stability in the less fortunate's lives.
